New friends and enemies in Horizon Forbidden West story trailer

Recently another RPG Horizon Forbidden West trailer from Guerrilla Games appeared online. This time the trailer focuses on the story, so the gamers are really interested in it. According to the video, this time the main character Eloy will have even more interesting adventures. But she will be not the only one to cope with difficulties. During the gameplay the gamers will meet both familiar characters and new ones.

Almost immediately after the trailer was released, the senior writer Annie Kitein and the head of narration Benjamin Makko gave an interview to the press and told about what has been happening in the trailer.

What has been revealed thanks to the trailer

After watching the trailer and being interviewed by representatives from Guerrilla Games, the following details came to light:

1. This time around, Eloi will have to face several major threats. These include the Regal Rebels, the Red Infestation and the actions of Silence. The massive adventure involves many of the old characters.
2. The rebel group is ruled by the warrior Regalla. Her power is so widespread that the gang itself is named after her. The leader herself is played by Angela Bassett, familiar to many from her role in the film Black Panther.
3. There’s a reason Regalla became a rebel leader. She hates the Karha tribe and is determined to take down the world for revenge. Regalla will stop at nothing and is ready to kill anyone who gets in her way. All this leads to a serious confrontation between this warrior and Ela.

And that’s not all that was revealed after watching the reel. Additionally, players could see the following characters in the trailer:

1. Alva. A representative of a new tribe. Intelligent and curious, but a bit unsure of herself. Alva has one goal – to help explain the ancient past. Alison J. plays the role of this character.
2. Cotallo. A rugged warrior who’s ready to step on the path of war. His story is personal and directly related to Eloy’s adventures.
3. Hekarro. He is the leader of the Tenact tribe.
4. Zo. A member of the Utaru tribe with a rather unfortunate past.
5. Tilda. A mysterious girl with a connection to a distant past. She was played by multi-award winning actress Carrie-Anne Moss. It was she who was Trinity from The Matrix. By mistake, Tilda could be confused with Silver Span, who could control the climate.
6. Silence. A wanderer who appears briefly in the video. But according to representatives from Guerrilla Games he certainly won’t be a statistic in the game’s storyline. The fact that Eloi and Silence used to work together now means nothing. The anti-hero now has his own agenda involving the Regalla gang. And players will have to find out why Silence got involved with the rebels.
7. Not to be discounted are Erend and Warl. These buddies of Eloi in the first part will help the heroine this time as well.

Horizon Forbidden West storylines

What is interesting, the time spent with certain team members largely depends on the gamer’s style of play.
